Isabella Jacomb

I am passionate about working as a Psychologist as I am always learning about the human condition and the different challenges that life throws us. Listening to my clients’ own and unique experiences is something that constantly helps me develop within my profession.

My general approach to working with my clients is inspired by renowned Psychologist Carl Rogers’ theory of person-centred therapy, which is based on the qualities of unconditional positive regard, genuineness and empathetic understanding.

Having received a Masters degree in Clinical Neuropsychology, I have expertise in providing comprehensive neuropsychological assessments to evaluate Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Specific Learning Disorders (Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia), Intellectual Disability and Giftedness. In my 10 years of clinical practice, I have conducted over 2000 neuropsychological assessments, making me highly experienced within the field.

In my therapy sessions, I integrate evidence-based psychological interventions such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), according to individual clients’ presentations and the purpose for therapy.

Before practicising as a Psychologist, I was working in neuroscientific research. This has made me appreciate and be aware of the importance of being up-to-date with current empirical research as it helps me offer my clients better assessment and therapy outcomes.
